Man dies from his injuries in Tennessee car crash

A 50-year-old man who was involved in a car accident on Aug. 29 succumbed to his injuries the next morning. The accident reportedly took place around 9:30 p.m. at an intersection. According to police, a car being driven by a 19-year-old woman was headed north and attempting to go through the intersection.

The man, who was driving a pickup, was headed south on the same road. While attempting to make a left turn, he turned into the path of the other car. Witnesses say both drivers had green lights that turned yellow just before the vehicles entered the intersection. The driver of the pickup was ejected from the car, and police said he did not have his seat belt on at the time of the crash.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital. The male driver died from his injuries, and the female driver had injuries that were not life-threatening. An investigation into the crash was ongoing one day after the incident. There was no information as to the specific injuries the man suffered or if distracted or impaired driving played a role in the crash.

A driver who is injured in a car accident may be entitled to compensation from the driver who caused the crash. If the driver who causes the accident dies as a result of the crash, the driver's estate may be held liable. Compensation may include money for medical bills incurred or lost wages. If a driver is permanently disabled, it may be possible to win compensation for lost future earnings. A personal injury attorney may be helpful in resolving a case and obtaining a favorable outcome in court for the plaintiff.
