The implants are meant to help fortify the pelvic muscle by being sewn to the vaginal wall, which can then better support internal organs. According to lawsuits, these implants begin to disintegrate after being inserted.

Truck crash into a home leaves sleeping woman dead

A Tennessee woman asleep in her home was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in the early hours of Oct. 8. The big rig loaded with several thousand pounds of pumpkins ran off the road and into the 66-year-old grandmother's bedroom.

Construction worker killed in equipment-related accident

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 58-year-old man working outside a K-12 grade school in Murfreesboro was killed when a backhoe overturned, trapping him beneath it. The Sept. 23 incident happened at about 2 p.m. at Eagleville School in the southwestern part of Rutherford County.
