The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that a truck driver was cited for failure to yield after he was involved in a two-vehicle accident on Dec. 16. After pulling out of a Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Greeneville, the 29-year-old truck driver collided with a 2002 Toyota Corolla. Both the driver and the passenger in the Toyota suffered injuries in the crash.

Tennessee Highway Patrol officers reported that a five-vehicle crash that occurred on Nov. 26 claimed the life of a 34-year-old La Vergne man while injuring a 31-year-old Murfreesboro man. According to reports, the accident happened at 11:50 p.m. on I-24 east at the Sam Ridley Parkway Exit.
Two Tennessee women were severely injured in an accident that occurred on May 16, 2013, and the trial of the woman whom authorities say is responsible began on Nov. 17. She is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, improper traffic lane violation and vehicular assault. Her attorney argues that the case should be a civil one and not a criminal one.
