Four die after a tractor-trailer hits a cow on I-40 in Tennessee

Tragedy struck on I-40 in Henderson County, Tennessee, taking the lives of 4 people and leaving another individual in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Jackson-Madison County Hospital. The heavily traveled highway is no stranger to auto accidents, but this particular incident illustrates how fast accidents can take the life of a loved one.

Tennessee man faces multiple charges in fatal accident

A 35-year-old mother of three died last year when the vehicle she was driving was struck head on by a Tennessee man who is now facing multiple charges in the case, including driving under the influence. According to news sources, the woman, her three minor children and a man were headed east for a family vacation in a 2006 Dodge Caravan when the fatal accident occurred. The four other people in the van were injured in the crash, and some of those injuries were reported to be life-threatening.

Accident claims the life of 71-year-old woman

A Tennessee woman lost her life in a two-truck crash on July 13, and three other people were hurt in the same accident. The 71-year-old woman was driving a truck and died at the scene. The fatal accident happened as she drove south on a parkway. Her truck was hit by another truck as the driver traveled north. The 39-year-old male driver allegedly weaved into the oncoming lane of traffic and hit her vehicle.

Worker's brain hemorrhage determined not to be related to surgery

The Tennessee Supreme Court held up a decision that a worker was not entitled to benefits for the brain hemorrhage he ended up suffering after he had a surgery for a work-related neck injury. The worker had received workers' compensation benefits and future medical benefits for his work-related injury. However, a dispute arose concerning his medical treatment.

$2 million lawsuit filed against 2 Tennessee men

Two Tennessee residents from the town of Townsend are facing a $2 million wrongful death lawsuit. A Pennsylvania woman filed the lawsuit in connection with the death of her husband, a Georgia man who was hit by a car on June 28, 2012 on State Highway 73. The man's wife filed the suit against the driver and owner of the vehicle, who live in the same residence in Townsend, according to the complaint.
